I am mummy, hear me roar

A collection of stuff I find looking for things to educate and entertain my 2 yr old

About this blog and therefore a little about me

I am creating this blog because I have spent the last 2 years raisingmy first bubba boy ‘Bug’ away from my home, in another country in fact.  In a country that doesn’t speak English.  I have come to rely and the internet for so many things.  Information about how to take care of him, when to get things done, when he should be doing things and so on and so forth.  But not just for those important baby milestones, I also use the internet to play English music and nursery rhymes to him.  I find games and crafts for us to do together.  Basically I use the internet as most of you use mummy’s groups, playgroups, your grandmothers unwanted advice and your ‘what not to do radar’ when the neighbours kids run riot in the street.

My browsers bookmarks are chockers, my google bookmarks page is out of control.  So I decided to collect all the good things, videos, blogs, web sites, web-pages together in a blog of my own.  And of course add some of my own original content.

I am starting this blog now that Hubby and I have quit our jobs and are living the life of unemployed yobs – we are waiting for Hubby’s VISA to come through – and then…I can come home!  But I have spent these years raising Bug outside of Australia so I have a few different ways of doing things, a few different ways of looking at things.  There are things about the Aussie way to raise a child that I love, and there are just as many things that I hate.

So hang around and share the journey of re-integrating my way back into my own culture.  But mainly this is a portal for parents with kids, what to do, how to entertain them, how to teach them, how to play with them and most of all how to just be the best you, you can be with them.
